(1) Morrison & Foerster 1L Patent Reception

Morrison & Foerster will be hosting its second annual 1L Patent Prosecution & IP Litigation reception at Mission Restaurant in Dupont Circle (1606 20th Street, NW Washington, DC) on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, from 6:00–8:00 PM. This event is targeted towards first year law students who are interested in MoFo’s two-summer patent program in either IP Litigation or Patent Prosecution for their Washington, DC, Northern VA, San Diego, Los Angeles, Palo Alto, or San Francisco offices. We highly recommend that interested students attend this event.

(3) Copyright Academic Showcase

The Copyright Academic Showcase will take place on Monday, November 16 from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Pauline Murray Conference Room on the first floor of the Howard Law School. This event is free and open to the public.

(4) Copyright Policy Breakfast

The Copyright Policy Breakfast will take place on Tuesday, November 17 from 8:30 AM–12:00 PM at the Martin Luther King Library in Penn Quarter. There will be a variety of government officials, association heads, and creators talking about copyright in the digital age, the future of copyright, etc. This event is free and open to the public. Breakfast is included!

Want to learn more about the experiences of International Entrepreneur-Lawyers? Interested in Latin American pharmaceutical law? Come join the Entrepreneurship & Law Society for a panel discussion with Benny Spiewak and Dean Susan Karamanian on Friday, November 13 at 1 P.M. in Lerner Hall, L202.

Benny Spiewak is a Senior Partner at Zancaner Costa, Bastos e Spiewak Advogados in São Paulo, Brazil and a Brazilian representative on the Global Committee at the Food and Drug Law Institute. Dean Susan Karamanian is the GW Law Associate Dean for International and Comparative Legal Studies and the Burnett Family Professorial Lecturer in International and Comparative Law and Policy. LL.M. student Gustavo Swenson Caetano will be moderating the discussion and asking your questions to the panelists.
